MCP server directory · official MCP registry · record checks against npm, PyPI and GitHub

Check an MCP server before you install it.

The registry verifies a package when it’s published and does not re-check it on a schedule — and a few things it never checks at all (we read its source on 2026-10-06). We check every entry’s public records again, on npm, PyPI and GitHub where the entry links them (facts checked 2026-10-22 to 2026-11-06); each entry has its own page, with sources and dates.

Where to go next

Each server page: what we tested and what we left out, whether the listing matches reality, install and repository facts — each with its source and the date we checked it. We do not publish security-check outcomes for named servers.

The same rules for every server: no grade, no safety rating, and the source and date shown with the facts. How we stay neutral

By topic AI-classified

Of all 57,350 servers: 44,285 have a topic label (the rows above and “other”); 13,065 have none, 2,510 where the two AI runs disagreed and 10,555 not read yet (new since the last full update).

By how it runs

Of all 57,350 servers: 56,680 declare where they run; 670 declare neither a package nor a remote endpoint.

“What it does” is an AI model's reading of the publishers' tool descriptions and the topic an AI classification of their descriptions; neither was checked by hand. Service links run our name and description search.

Why 29,792 servers have no live read-only session recorded: of all 57,350 registry entries, we opened a live, read-only session with 27,558; each of the others says why on its own page. A check we did not run is never counted as passed. The full breakdown · the split, as a chart
