About
About ProtocolProbe
A free directory of MCP server facts, built for the developers who use them.
Who we are
ProtocolProbe is run by Team Sultan, a small independent team. We read the public MCP registry and the public records around each server, and show every fact with its source and the date we checked it. You can reach us at hello@protocolprobe.com.
Why we made it
The official registry checks a package once, when it is published, and does not re-check it afterwards. Developers who pick a server deserve plain, dated facts, and the support for that should not cost them anything. So the site, the API, the data and the self-test command are free to use.
How we plan to pay for it
Today the site has no ads, no sponsors and no paid placements, and it asks nothing of its users. If we add income later, it would come from sources like clearly labelled advertising, sponsorship of the newsletter, or services for server publishers, never from the people who read the directory.
What money will never change
- Paying us does not change a listing, a record check, a ranking or its order. Rankings come from public numbers (downloads, stars, record checks) the same way for every server.
- Anything paid is labelled as paid, and kept apart from the facts.
- The rules in the methodology apply to everyone, and mistakes go in the corrections log.
We will update this page, and the privacy and terms pages, before any of that changes.
